Jeremy Lin Thinks Nets Can Turn Things Around Despite 16-Game Losing Streak

Jeremy Lin remains positive despite the Brooklyn Nets having the worst record in the NBA and they are on a 16-game losing streak. He believes that the Nets are going to turn things around very soon and it starts with the team's two-day training camp.

Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson used the long break from their eight-game road trip to hold a training camp. He wanted the team to back to basics and familiarize themselves with the offense. He also wanted to sharpen his players heading into the remainder of the season.

In an interview with the New York Post, Lin thinks that the two-day camp is going help the Nets turn things around. The team is currently the worst team in the league and they are trying to avoid tying or even breaking the franchise record of 18 consecutive losses.

"We barely get any time to practice, so this is going to be really big for us to get back to our fundamentals, our principles. And I think if we do it right, hopefully, it can be somewhat of a turning point in terms of turning things around and getting things headed in the right direction," Lin said.

The 28-year-old point guard signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Nets this summer. However, he has only played a total of 14 games because of a recurring right hamstring injury. He first suffered the injury five games into the season and he initially missed a month of action.

Lin returned in mid-December 2016 before re-injuring his right hamstring a day after Christmas against the Charlotte Hornets. He was almost ready to return at the end of January but a setback during rehabilitation derailed his return to the court.

"Linsanity" made his return last Thursday in a losing effort against Denver Nuggets. He started the game and played for only 14 minutes. He started the next day against the Golden State Warriors and he was limited to just 15 minutes.

According to Newsday, Atkinson is planning to increase Lin's workload in the next couple of games until he reaches his regular playing time of 32 minutes. The Nets are being cautious with Lin since he suffered three hamstring injuries this season.
