UFC News: Holly Holm Appeal Denied By NYSAC, Holm vs De Randamie Rematch Will Be Pursued

The Holly Holm vs Germaine de Randamie fight drama has come to an end as the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) has decided to deny Holm's appeal. The decision makes de Randamie the official UFC women's featherweight champion.

According to Washington Post, no clear error have been found by the NYSAC to merit the appeal. The Commission has reviewed video footages of the Holly Holm vs Germaine de Randamie fight and has found no reason to modify the unanimous decision in favor of de Randamie.

Holly Holm has appealed the Holm vs de Randamie UFC women's featherweight title match that favored Germaine de Randamie, days after the controversial fight. Holm alleges that referee Todd Anderson may have missed certain calls during the UFC match.

In the appeal, Holm alleged that Anderson failed to deduct points from de Randamie. The appeal states that de Randamie threw punches after the bell rang at the end of Rounds two and three of the Holly Holm vs Germaine de Randamie UFC women's featherweight title fight card.

All three judges saw the fight in favor of Germaine de Randamie, scoring the bout 48-47 to grant de Randamie a unanimous decision. If Anderson imposed the alleged deductions, Holly Holm could have won or a least the fight could have been declared as a draw.

If Anderson imposed a deduction after Germaine de Randamie threw punches after the bell rang in the second round of the Holm vs de Randamie UFC fight, the score will be an even 47-47. If another deduction is imposed following the same incident in the third round of the fight, Holly Holm could have edged de Randamie with a score of 47-46.

According to MMA fighting, Holly Holm's camp will no longer pursue any further actions respecting the appeal. However, the team is said to pursue a rematch.

Germaine de Randamie has already opened her door to a possible Holly Holm rematch. With the appeal finally over with, the Holly Holm vs Germaine de Randamie rematch talks may already begin.
