Daniel Bryan Rumors: SD Live GM Hints Coming Out of Retirement on Talking Smack

Daniel Bryan is doing a fantastic job as the general manager of SmackDown Live. The reaction he gets from the crowd every time he comes out on television is still great and it's even better than most WWE superstars on the roster.

The four-time WWE World champion has been retired for over a year now after doctors found a lesion in his brain that causes seizures. It happened because of his history of head injuries and concussions during his career.

However, Daniel Bryan teased his return to the ring in this week's episode of Talking Smack. In another intense promo with The Miz, who was mocking Bryan's retirement, the SD Live GM hinted that he could be wrestling again after a year and a half, per Wrestling Inc.

"I can't or they won't let me? We'll see in a year and a half, we'll see what happens," Bryan told The Miz on Talking Smack.

According to Cageside Seats, Daniel Bryan is free to sign with any promotion when his contract expires sometime in 2018. He has been vocal about how difficult it was for him to retire from wrestling and he hinted last year that he could wrestle outside the WWE if doctors clear him.

Of course, the segment is still a work and Daniel Bryan probably had permission to say those things. However, fans should not be surprised if he does not sign an extension with the WWE and sign with independent promotions such as Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The only downside for Daniel Bryan if he returns to the ring is his health since brain injuries are serious business. Many dead wrestlers in the past several years were diagnosed with CTE and he could suffer the same fate if he keeps wrestling.

Daniel Bryan is going to be a father soon and he has to think about his future family with Brie Bella. His legacy is already secured and he is a future Hall of Famer. He, and CM Punk, also paved the way for A.J. Styles, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe to make the jump from the indies to the WWE.
