NBA News: Jeremy Lin Makes Brooklyn Nets Better With Sean Kilpatrick Benefiting The Most

Jeremy Lin has had a positive impact on the Brooklyn Nets since returning to the lineup after the All-Star break. Even though the Nets has only won two games out of the last seven he played, he makes his teammates better with Sean Kilpatrick benefiting the most.

The 28-year-old point guard missed 26 games since Dec. 26, 2016 due to a recurring hamstring injury that cost him 18 games earlier in the season. But since returning on Feb. 24, Lin has helped the team win two games and they have become more competitive.

In their last game against the Atlanta Hawks, the Nets almost got the upset win thanks in large part to Jeremy Lin and Sean Kilpatrick. Although it is still a loss, it is a very encouraging sign for the Nets as they try to finish the season strong.

According to Steve Lichtenstein of CBS Sports, Jeremy Lin has helped the Nets make progress while making his teammates better. He pointed out that Kilpatrick has blossomed into a viable scorer with Lin as the playmaker.

Lichtenstein noted that with Jeremy doing most of the work at point guard, Kilpatrick can focus on scoring and attacking the rim. Kilpatrick has scored 20 points or more in their last three games and he should continue doing it until the end of the season.

Other teammates like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Randy Foye and Spencer Dinwiddie have benefited in Lin's presence. Even rookies like Caris LeVert and Isaiah Whitehead have played really good since the return of Jeremy Lin.

More importantly, Brook Lopez is not carrying the entire load on offense anymore for the Nets. His job is starting to get easier with pick-and-roll plays orchestrated by Jeremy Lin. Although head coach Kenny Atkinson is still limiting Lin's minutes, he could be back to full workload in a week or two.

The Nets end their eight-game road trip on March 10, Friday at the American Airlines Center against the Dallas Maverick. They start a two-game home stand on March 12, Sunday when they host the New York Knicks, per NBA.com.
