Real Madrid Moves Top Of La Liga Table, Barcelona Slips To Second Spot

It was a thrilling weekend in La Liga. Real Madrid and Barcelona was both in action against Real Betis and Deportivo La Coruna, respectively. Barcelona came in the game with high spirit as they have mad an epic comeback in Champions League against PSG.

Barcelona was heavily expected to win the match but it was the real shocker for the fans and the pundits of the game. Barcelona started the game well but the team lacked in the defence and conceded a goal in the 40th minute as Joselu gave the lead to the hosts.

On the second half, Barcelona answered by scoring a goal in the 46th minute as Luis Suarez scored a 20th goal of the La Liga this season. But Deportivo hasn't lost the hope and took the lead again in the game with a setpiece. In the end, the Catalan side tried to make a comeback but failed to do so. Barcelona lost the game by 2-1 reports Mirror.  It means Barcelona have lost three valuable points in the race to defend their La Liga title.

On the other hand, Real Madrid hosts Real Betis in Santiago Bernabeu. Madrid started the game strongly and was looking solid to win the game with huge margin. But it turned out to be a real test for the Los Blancos. Real Betis scored the goal in 24th minute, reports IndianExpress. It was a blunder from goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who helped visitors to came in front against mighty Real Madrid.

Real Madrid then gave the answer in typical style as Ronaldo scored a header right before first half. In the second half, both teams have got their chances to score but failed to cash the opportunities until Ramos step forward to score another late winner. It was Ramos' tenth goal in all competition for Real Madrid. Real Madrid now sitting at the top of La Liga table and favourite to win too.
