Stephon Gilmore, the new signing at the New England Patriots has named his newly borned daughter as Gisele, which coincidentally happens to be the name of supermodel Gisele Bundchen, wife of Patriots' quarter-back Tom Brady.
If Gilmore was to be a wide reciever, it could have been more understandable of him keeping his daughter's name Gisele as he would have been Brady's favourite target from quarter-back position. As it turns out, Gilmore is a corner-back and a very good Patriots signing.
It may have been weird for many supporters to hear the name Gisele as Gilmore's daughter, but to be honest there is nothing really significant in this. It was just the timing was matched between the signing and the birth of the child on 9th March.
He actually named his daughter Gisele Sienna Gilmore, player revealed in an interview on Monday. He further said his wife's name is Gabriella so they thought of a name with letter 'G' and they picked Gisele. She was seven pounds and eight ounces. They didn't knew how long she was but they are happy and realized a blessing came when she came into this world.
Gilmore and his wife also has a son named Sebastian, which for sure has nothing to do with Sebastian Vollmer, who was once a Patriot player and now a free agent. Gilmore was further not asked about any future child being named Bill.
26-year old corner-back Gilmore has spent his career with the Buffalo Bills before he became a free agent and signed a five-year, $65-million contract for the New England Patriots making him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL.
It is not as big a story as it is, maybe Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen's name attracts the supporters, so the coincidence of baby and contract signing has made a good combination.
