WrestleMania News and Updates: Brock Lesnar To Face Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 34

While fans are looking forward to WrestleMania 33, the WWE’s plans for next year have been leaked – and fans are not exactly thrilled by the company’s supposed plans. According to reports, WrestleMania 34, which is set to be held in New Orleans, will pit Brock Lesnar against Roman Reigns in the pay-per-view show’s main event.

As reported by Wrestling INC, the WWE is planning to feature Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns Universal Title match at WrestleMania 34. This is a curious leak just weeks away from WrestleMania 33, where Lesnar is challenging Universal Champion Bill Goldberg, while Reigns takes on The Undertaker. As noted by the Daily Star, fans are fuming at the reported leak that has Roman Reigns being set up to be the company’s top wrestler.

“It simply doesn’t matter how much they delay it or how much time they plan it. Majority of the fans will never accept Reigns as the new face of the company,” one Reddit user wrote. The Daily Star notes that throughout the WWE’s three-year plan to position Roman Reigns as the company’s top superstar, he has remained a polarizing character for fans, which led to the WWE delaying plans originally scheduled fro WrestleMania 31. According to the report, WWE boss Vince McMahon wants Reigns to replace John Cena as the face of the company, and next year’s reported match with Brock Lesnar will do just that.

Wrestling INC points out that while the matchup between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns appears to be set, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the latter will beat The Undertaker, or that Lesnar will be holding on to the belt for a full year. Lesnar is in the final year of his current three-year deal. According to the report, the plan is to have Brock Lesnar work more dates during the last year of his contract.
