Pokemon Go Update: Niantic Might Add Some New Shiny Pokemon
Pokemon Go players are very excited for an update that will come this week. It is expected because of the schedule Niantic followed all these months.
Generally, Pokemon Go updates are released every two weeks and it's been almost two weeks since the last update. The most recent update came out on March 4. Well, most of the people don't know about it because it was a minor update that wasn't even announced on developer's website and social media platforms.
According to Heavy, the last major update of Pokemon Go came out on February 16 that rolled out new features. This was the giant update as 80 new Pokemon was released into the game and there were some new items and features added.
Many fans were hoping to get shiny Pokemon in the next update. As written in Mic, although Niantic hasn't said much about it, it is pretty clear the company is planting seeds for the eventual implementation of shiny Pokémon. The Silph Road Pokémon Go community data mines each update upon release.
Upcoming two updates, 0.49.1 and 0.57.2 showed some addition in a small amount of code to add shiny Pokemon. The data mine of 0.57.2 is very important because The Silph Road found three pieces of code that were labeled FX, e.g. SHINYSPAWNFX, SPARKLYFX, and PLAYSHINYFX. This concludes that when implemented, shiny Pokemon would have a special sparkle effect and look different on the Pokémon Go map.
Fans are eager to get shiny Pokemon because they are extremely rare. The chances of getting shiny Pokémon is 1 in 8,000 that can be changed to 1 in 4,000 using a special breeding method. But still it is very high and the update will bring a better looking Pokemon. Pokemon Go latest update is expected to come this week.
