NFL Trade Rumors: Cleveland Browns Desperate For Jimmy Garoppolo, New England Patriots Not Budging

Jimmy Garoppolo is still the center of rumors as the NFL Free Agency starts to wind down. The Cleveland Browns is one of the reasons for the rumors as the team is desperately searching for a quarterback. The problem for them is New England may not be willing to compromise.

The Cleveland Browns' have been struggling in the quarterback position for several years now. For years, the team has tried to draft and trade for a QB that would lead their offense but nothing has surfaced so far. Meanwhile, they believe that Jimmy Garoppolo will be their savior despite having little experience.

There was a time when the Cleveland Browns had a chance to draft a star quarterback when they had the no.2 pick. But they have traded that pick which turned out to be Carson Wentz who is playing well for the Eagles. It seems that the Browns have grown tired of their past failures and is looking for a quick fix in Jimmy Garoppolo according to Musketfire.

For the Cleveland Browns, they have an assortment of picks to offer for the New England Patriots for Jimmy Garoppolo. The Patriots don't have a pick for the first two rounds in the upcoming draft which is surprising. If the Patriots feel that they can draft a better player in Garoppolo in the coming draft, then maybe a deal with the Browns would work.

Then again, several football reporters have said that the Patriots aren't willing to part ways with Garoppolo. Adam Schefter believes that the Patriots have found the ideal replacement for Tom Brady as heads to the last few years of his career which could spell bad news for the Cleveland Brown.

Moreover, several teams who have shown interest in Jimmy Garoppolo have moved on. Some have added veteran quarterbacks to bolster their lineup while some have conceded to the Cleveland Browns' supposed trade offers. But even if the Browns are considered as the top runner in trading for Garoppolo, expect them to enter the new season empty handed.
