In an interview with Mike Reiss of ESPN, Kraft was asked regarding the possibility of Tom Brady playing well into his 40s. The 75-year-old billionaire noted that Brady told him personally that he is not going to retire anytime soon.
"As recently as 2-3 days ago, he assured me he'd be willing to play six to seven more years and at the level he performed. There's no one that would be happier than I, and our fan base," Kraft said.
The talk of Tom Brady retiring from football stems from all the moves the Patriots made this offseason. They are the clear favorites to win the Super Bowl and achieve the perfect season next year. If Brady accomplishes that, he might decide that it's time to retire.
