NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade Not Returning to the Chicago Bulls Next Season?

Many people felt that Dwyane Wade has played his final game with the Chicago Bulls on March 15 when he suffered a fractured right elbow. However, Wade returned just in time for the playoffs and helped the Bulls take a 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics.

The 35-year-old signed a two-year, $47.5 million deal with his hometown Bulls last summer. He has a player option for next season and the majority of the fans believed that his time in Chicago would be short-lived.

However, the Bulls came out alive in the final couple of weeks of the regular season to earn the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Dwyane Wade returned earlier than expected on April 8 against the Brooklyn Nets to score 14 points, per NBA.com.

The Bulls had momentum going into the playoffs against the Celtics and they grabbed the series by the throat by getting the 2-0 lead heading to Games 3 and 4 in Chicago at the United Center. Dwyane Wade was even surprised by the results but he's gelling at the right time with Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo.

In a recent interview with Joe Crowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Dwyane Wade was asked about if he will accept or decline his $23.8 million option for next season. Wade gave a very trick answer to a very untimely question, something they can deal with after the season is over.

"It depends on what city you're willing to be in. So it's a lot of variables to that. But no question about it, what happens throughout this year as I go into my summer, I'll definitely take a look at it. I take my career seriously, where I am, where I want to be, and I will do the same thing this summer," Wade said.

Dwyane Wade and the Bulls can talk about their plans at the end of the season. Fans have been asking for a rebuild for years now but with an upset on the horizon, it would be hard to break the team up that knocked out the first seed in the East.
