According to a report published by PC Advisor, it appears like the successor of HTC 10 won't be called HTC 11. Instead, the speculated smartphone will be named HTC U. The HTC U smartphone is expected to be unveiled at an event in Tapie on May 10 at 2AM (in New York). There will most possibly be a live-streaming event for those interested viewers who won't be able to attend the event themselves for obvious reasons.

According to another report published by Tech Radar, the speculated HTC U smartphone will belong to high-end category and will cost around 599 or 649 pounds.

A special Weibo report suggests that the HTC U smartphone will most likely be coming equipped with Qualcomm's 10nm Snapdragon 835 SoC with the company's Quick charge 4.0 support as well. On the storage front, the smartphone may pack 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage that could be expanded up to 256GB via its microSD card slot.

Apart from that, the HTC U smartphone may even carry a 12MP rear camera along with an 8MP front shooter. Display-wise, not much has been revealed but if rumors are to be believed then the HTC U smartphone may sport a 5.5-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) display.
