Today at 4:00 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Penguins (16-9-1, 33 points) and Tampa Bay Lightning (16-8-1, 33 points) go head-to-head live from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in the second of three meetings this season. Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay are both coming off of victories and the first time they met this season, the Penguins defeated the Lightning 5-4 in Pittsburgh on Oct. 12.

The Penguins came from behind and won their last game 6-5 over the Toronto Maple Leafs in a shootout Wednesday.

"That's not the way we draw it up, but we found a way to stick with it," captain Sidney Crosby said per NHL.com. "I think it's so ugly, it was just so bad, there's no easy way to describe it. Fortunately, we stuck with it, drew some power plays and took advantage of them." 

Crosby leads the team with 33 points off of 13 goals and 20 assists while Evgeni Malkin has six tallies and 24 helpers for 30 points and Chris Kunitz has found the twine 11 times and added 13 assists for 24 points.

The Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 on Wednesday and were sparked by Victor Hedman, who scored two goals.

"It seems like sometimes you're on the ice and the puck goes in every time," Hedman (6-9-15) said via NHL.com. "The bigger thing is to keep believing in myself. You have to keep plugging away. Just keep playing and things are going to come." 

Martin St. Louis is the team's leading scorer with 24 points off of 10 goals and 14 assists while Valtteri Filppula has lit the lamp nine times and added 10 helpers for 19 points and Teddy Purcell has found the back of the net seven times and added nine assists for 16 points.

In between the pipes, Marc-Andre Fleury is 13-7-1 with a 2.16 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage for Pittsburgh while Ben Bishop is 14-3-1 with a 2.08 GAA and a .931 save percentage.

Two of the NHL's best teams go at it when the Penguins and Lightning hit the ice tonight in Tampa Bay.
