Paul George will be sticking with the Los Angeles Clippers for another five years after the 6-foot-10 wingman inked a max contract extension.

According to ESPN Inside reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, the agreement will involve a $190 million deal that will last until 2025.

It means that Paul George is assured of more than $260 million for the next five years, as per Aaron Mintz's report to Wojnarowski.

Additionally, Mintz said that the four-year extension that Paul George will be signing would cover his 2021-2022 player option: the inclusion of his new player option for the 2024-2025 NBA season.

After ESPN reported Paul George's contract extension, Lawrence Frank, the Clippers president of basketball operations, made an official team announcement.

Frank treasured Paul George's presence for the team and lauded his long-term commitment that he pursued. He added that the team wants to create an environment for the players to enjoy their success. He said that he was delighted to sign the All-Star and treated it as an honor on his behalf.

"We admire his talent, his dedication, and his unwavering allegiance to this region. We're excited for the opportunity to accomplish our mutual goals together," Frank said.

Paul George's contract with Oklahoma City Thunder in 2018 was connected to his four-year contract amounting to $137 million. His two contracts have accumulated into a seven-year $290-million contract.

The 30-year-old forward had been a long time fan of the team because he grew up in Southern California.

For the trust that the Clippers had given him, Paul George is thankful to team owner Steve Ballmer, President Frank, Coach Ty Lue, his teammates, and his fans.

"I am proud to call this my home and look forward to doing my part in helping make the team a tremendous success - both on and off the court - in the years ahead," George said in delight.

For the Clippers to boost their contention next season, they now need to convince All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard to ride on the same boat that Paul George rode.

The Clippers were expected to rise above the odds, and it came true in the regular season. The team ended second in the Western Conference with a 49-23 card, behind their Los Angeles rival, the Lakers.

Paul George and Leonard were proven to be the pioneers in running the offense and defense for the Clippers.

It was a huge success for former Coach Doc Rivers, who struggled to force out his players' versatilities. A never-before scene has happened apparently, and it was the bubble nightmare that the Clippers had faced.

Climbing the Western finals was just one win away, but the Clippers were blanked by the Denver Nuggets, who blew them out from a 3-1 lead. Paul George had averaged 21.5 points and 5.7

Since that happened, speculations have bugged the team and its players. The shocking departure of Doc Rivers followed it. Next, the sudden trades happened, involving Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrel, who found a new home with the Lakers. In light of that, Serge Ibaka became the replacement for Harrel in the fifth position.

Despite the storms that the Clippers had faced, Paul George took his time to reflect on his post-season errors-beginning from his inconsistency, lack of time for bubble practice, up to the personal reasons.

He is already slated for a brand-new beginning with his team.
