The Bengals come off a bye week looking to close out the AFC North in their final stretch of games but enter play tied for the worst road record (2-4) in the NFL among teams that are .500 or better. Cincinnati has lost two consecutive overtime games on the road and will look to do better against San Diego.
"We have five games to really make a run and put our name out there," wide receiver Marvin Jones said per ESPN. "The bye week was a big help. I've never had a late bye week like that. We're ready to make this last push and go for it all."
Jones has 30 receptions for 446 yards and seven scores thus far this season.
The Bengals won 41-20 over the Cleveland Browns in their last game on Nov. 17 when the team scored a franchise-record 31 second quarter points.
Quarterback Andy Dalton has had a problem with interceptions and will look to shake off the trend today. Dalton is 252-for-410 (61.5%) for 2,954 yards with 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions thus far this season. His 15 picks rank the third-highest in the league.
San Diego enters looking to gain ground in the race for the AFC's sixth and final wild-card spot and are one of a handful of teams that enter Week 13 with a 5-6 record. The team plays four of their final five games at home but is 5-7 at Qualcomm Stadium since 2012.
The team won 41-38 at Kansas City last week to keep its hopes alive by putting an end to their three-game losing streak.
"It's the kind of win that can save the season," quarterback Philip Rivers said per ESPN. "That doesn't mean it saved it, but it certainly kept it alive."
Rivers is 281-for-397 (70.8%) for 3,381 yards with 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions on the year.
The Chargers will look to stay afloat in the AFC wild-card hunt while the Bengals hope to gain ground in the race for the AFC North when the teams take the field this afternoon.
