Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones does not doubt that his franchise quarterback Dak Prescott will be fit and ready to go for their season opener against Tom Brady and the reigning Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.
Jones made the revelation in an interview with 105.3 The Fan, telling the radio station that Prescott has no limitations at all in practice. Jones said that Prescott was moving well and that "he's really got that zip on the ball." Jones also divulged that Prescott has been throwing with the Cowboys' key receivers in Dallas' last few practices for a few days.

Prescott corroborated Jones' statement when he made an appearance on the popular HBO series "Hard Knocks" later that day, saying, "I'm back." Prescott added that he ain't scared, speaking in the video, "Be smooth, run fast, get in and out. I'm telling you, I'm playing quick mentally and throwing that pitch."

Prescott's confidence provides comfort to Cowboys fans who are growing increasingly worried about the health of their starting quarterback. The Cowboys have taken a cautious approach with Prescott ever since he experienced shoulder soreness on July 28. The Cowboys decided not to use Prescott in their preseason games, making fans wonder about his injury status.
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy eased Dallas fans' concerns, though, telling reporters that Prescott was like a caged lion after impressing both his coaches and teammates last Wednesday with his play in his first "full-go" participated practice.

Prescott impresses in practice
In an interview Thursday at The Star, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore praised Prescott, saying he thought he looked great. Moore noted that limiting Prescott in practice is all over now and that "we're just playing ball at this point."
Sports Illustrated's Mike Fisher witnessed the said practice, and he confirmed that Prescott was lights out in multiple series of 11-on-11's. Prescott completed 11 of 12 passes during that session, with his only incompletion being a bat-down at the line of scrimmage. He looked comfortable in running the Cowboys' RPO, and most importantly, he made all the throws for Dallas fans.
Throwing great throws in practice is one thing; facing a Tampa Bay defense that won the Super Bowl by limiting the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs to just nine points is a totally different matter. It will be interesting to see how Prescott will fare in this contest, given that he hasn't taken a live snap since suffering a gruesome ankle injury against the New York Giants last October 11.
September 9 can't come soon enough for Dak Prescott and all the Dallas Cowboys fans.
