A 25-year-old man fell four stories to his death at Texas A&M Stadium Tuesday while he was doing construction on the venue in what police are describing as a tragic accident. According to Examiner, the man has been identified as Angel Garcia, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital from injuries he sustained during the tragic plummet at Texas A&M Stadium.

According to Examiner, Texas A&M officials said that Garcia was a demolition worker for a company that was working on a $450 million renovation for the stadium at Texas A&M.

Texas A&M released the following statement after the horrific fall:

"On behalf of Texas A&M University and the extended Aggie family I offer our deepest sympathy to the family of the construction worker who tragically passed away," the statement read per Examiner.

It continued: "Officials confirmed that at approximately 11:25 a.m. today Angel Garcia, an employee of Lindamood Demolition, fell from the fourth level of the north end of Kyle Field on the campus of Texas A&M University. He was immediately transported to St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas, where he passed away."

Examiner reports that officials from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Texas A&M University System and campus police are currently investigating the events that led to the fall and death of Garcia at the site.

According to KXTB, the stadium fall marks the second tragic event to take place in just a few months at construction sites on campus. According to the report, four workers were seriously injured after the new equine center facility collapsed during construction.

Texas A&M Stadium, which is also known as Kyle Field, has been the home to Texas A&M Aggies football since 1904 and as a complete stadium since 1927. According to Examiner, the stadium seats up to 82,589 people which makes the venue the third largest football-only stadium by seating capacity in the state of Texas.

The renovation will reportedly extend the seating capacity to 102,000.
