LeBron James, widely known for his impressive career, received no votes for MVP for the first time.

The MVP results were announced on Tuesday, and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers won, while Nikola Jokić of Denver and Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee were close behind.

LeBron James Not Receiving MVP Votes, Not Surprising

The non-mention of James in the list of MVP candidates has caused quite a stir among fans.

Perhaps, it's not surprising that James didn't receive any MVP votes this season since he only played in 55 games.

But truth to tell, he still performed exceptionally well with averages of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.

What's more surprising is that it took him this long in his 20-year NBA career to be completely shut out of the MVP voting.

Most players don't last that long in the NBA, let alone maintain the level of play that James has displayed to earn MVP votes.

Despite being an extraordinary player, even James is susceptible to the effects of aging.

The sixth-ranked Golden State Warriors will play against the seventh-ranked Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center in San Francisco to start their Western Conference semifinal playoff series.

The Golden State team has only been able to win once in their four previous encounters with LA during the regular season, with that sole win occurring in their first match in October. However, the Lakers have emerged victorious in the three subsequent meetings between the two teams.
