With the Denver Nuggets claiming their maiden NBA Championship on Monday night, the franchise became the latest among the multiple teams owned by business magnate Stan Kroenke to win the biggest prize in their respective league.

While the Nuggets are technically under the name of his wife, billionaire Walmart heiress Ann Walton Kroenke, due to NFL ownership restrictions, that did not stop the 75-year-old tycoon from being the first to receive the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Kroenke's remarkable run began in February 2022 when the Los Angeles Rams snatched the 56th edition of the Super Bowl over the Cincinnati Bengals to claim the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

A few months after, the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League captured the National Lacrosse League Cup for the 2021-22 NLL season after beating the Buffalo Bandits in the championship round in June.

Barely a week after, Kroenke celebrated once again after the Colorado Avalanche won the 2022 National Hockey League Stanley Cup in six games against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Stan Kroenke Nearly Won Another Trophy

Another Stan Kroenke-owned team across the Atlantic Ocean nearly won a championship but ultimately came up short.

Arsenal FC was on the top of the table for most of the 2022-23 Premier League season under the stewardship of manager Mikel Arteta.

After taking an eight-point lead at one point in January, the squad crumbled in the final stages of the season, virtually handing Manchester City the league trophy after a crushing 1-4 defeat against them in April.
