Nuggets: Nikola Jokic Calls Denver Parade 'The Best' After Previous Lack of Interest

Nikola Jokic was ecstatic during the Denver Nuggets championship parade.

"You know that I told that I don't want to stay on parade, but I f**king want to stay on parade. This is the best," the Finals MVP said to the Denver crowd on Thursday afternoon.

Jokic called the celebrations amazing, which he and his teammates will remember for their whole lives.

This contrasted with his previous demeanor after the Nuggets won the title last Monday, wherein he stated that "he needs to go home" when asked if he was looking forward to the parade.

Nikola Jokic Shows Off 'Lost' Finals MVP Trophy

The Serbian big man's Finals MVP trophy was spotted on the parade vehicle carrying the Serbian.

Jokic mentioned in an interview with ESPN broadcaster Malika Andrews that he was unsure where the trophy went after the team's championship celebrations inside the Ball Arena in Denver.

"I really don't know. I left it in Sparky's room, and it's not there anymore. So I don't know, but hopefully it can arrive in my house," the 28-year-old said.

Andrews tweeted a day before the parade that Sparky Gonzales, the team's equipment manager, had the trophy cleaned and detailed for the celebrations.

Gonzales has served as the Denver Nuggets' equipment manager since 1987.
