Their daughter was spotted wearing a Memphis Grizzlies jersey with the number 23, and another photo depicted several Grizzlies jerseys on a table with Rose's surname under the number.

The former MVP will likely wear the number 23 for the Grizzlies, the same number he wore during his college days with the Memphis Tigers from 2007 to 2008.

He led the Tigers to the 2008 NCAA National Championship game, but they fell short in overtime against the Kansas Jayhawks.

Memphis Grizzlies Sign Derrick Rose to Multi-Year Deal

After spending the last two years with the New York Knicks, the franchise declined their team option on the three-time All-Star, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Rose subsequently signed a two-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, the same city where he played college basketball.

The team wants Rose to provide leadership in the locker room and assume point guard duties while their star point guard Ja Morant is suspended for the first 25 games of the season following a second gun-toting incident on social media.

Rose's contract with the Grizzlies is worth $6.5 million, fully guaranteed.
