Patrick Beverley has been a source of some ridiculous takes but not the one where he seems to make it look like he is the main reason a team culture changes.

The defensive guard took to Twitter to remove himself from a quote that is wrong on so many levels.

Not only that, but he also took the opportunity to promote his podcast, which is like a mine for outrageous claims by his guests.

The original quote has so many layers to break down. First and foremost, there was no winning trend from the Chicago Bulls, with whom he played for just a few months.

Chicago missed the playoffs and only reached the play-in phase last season.

If anything, he was thankful for the opportunity to play for Chicago, where he was born and raised.

Moving on to a new team

The pitbull guard's time with the Bulls is short-lived, and he is now moving on to a new team after being signed by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Beverly joined the 76ers on a one-year deal, as he announced in his podcast last week.

The Sixers are embarking on a new era after another semifinals exit last season. They fired head coach Doc Rivers and hired Nick Nurse from the Toronto Raptors.

The team is expected to sign more guards to work with PatBev before the season starts, with James Harden most likely out after the former MVP opted into his $35.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season.
