Aaron Judge's road to recovery is looking good as manager Aaron Boone revealed the star pitcher is already running on an anti-gravitational treadmill.

Boone suffered a torn ligament in his big right toe in June and has been on the injured list since.

The team is taking it slow when it comes to the 2022 AL MVP's rehab, and now, he is close to reaching his top form again.

The manager was asked about the recovery of Judge right after their beating at the hands of the Baltimore Orioles, and he answered that Judge is now at "80 percent" and is "moving in the right direction."

The organization did not release any timetable for his return, but they are optimistic Judge will return after the MLB All-Star next week.

Boone also said the day before that the player himself will determine when he is best fit to return to the pitch.

"The biggest thing is we want him doing things that he can tolerate without putting himself in a lot of pain."

Judge clarifies confusing defeatist comment

Some supporters felt scared last Tuesday after Judge showed what many interpreted as pessimism and defeatism regarding his injury.

"I don't think it will ever feel normal. I can move around pretty well, but any injury, [it can bother you for] a year or two or three years. You never know what it's gonna feel like," he said.

These comments made fans think that his injury was way worse than what's been announced to the press.

However, he insisted the next day that the points he made in that interview were based on how some injuries take a long time to fully recover throughout sports history.

"We're doing great," the five-time All-Star told reporters on Wednesday to clarify his previous comments.
