George St. Pierre is set to return to professional grappling match as he decided to join the UFC Fight Pass Invitational event.
It has been a while since mixed martial arts fans saw GSP in a competitive MMA bout, and it looks like he wants to make this return count.
The Canadian fighter-turned-actor said he wants someone formidable, and fans would love to see his grappling match return. He has a few names in mind.

"Maybe the Diaz brothers (Nick and Nate) could be [good]," he told MMA Hour.
"I don't know. I'm a competitive guy and something like that I think the fans will want to see. It could be someone that is active right now. [Kamaru] Usman, [Colby] Covington, someone like this. It depends. I think it's up to the audience to choose who they would like to see and I think it needs to be a formidable opponent, too. Someone that is from a grappling background. Someone that will give the fans a good show."
Why did he return?
St. Pierre last graced an octagon ring in November 2017 when he beat Michael Bisping at the UFC 2017. He retired with 26 wins and only two losses, the last of which came in April 2007.
The 42-year-old went out on his own terms, and even now, he believes he can still fight.
"I'm still in very good shape," St-Pierre shared via UFC News during the announcement of his return to grappling earlier this month.
"I love the adrenaline of what a competition gives you, and also, I want to give an avenue to fighters who retired."
