To some athletes, getting a shout-out from famous rappers is an honor.

But not for Russell Wilson if the one referencing him is Future, the ex-boyfriend of his wife, Ciara.

Future released a new track titled "Turn Yo Clip Up" together with Quavo, and it instantly became a buzz on the internet as it has one verse, seemingly dissing the Seattle Seahawks star.

"I got it out the field, f*** Russell."

The 39-year-old rapper has commented on the relationship between his ex-wife Ciara and Wilson.

Wilson, on the other hand, rarely comments. Ciara has two sons with Future and one with a football player.

This one appears to be a one-sided beef again until Wilson makes a comment, which he rarely does.

The current Denver Broncos quarterback is busy preparing for the new NFL season with Seahawks, which many fans and analysts hope he can bring back to Super Bowl glory.

When Future called Wilson 'soft' before

Future seemed to be hung up on Ciara as he appeared many times in the media dissing Wilson because of the dynamics of his relationship with the singer.

He thought Wilson was "not being a man" for allowing Ciara to mention her exes.

"He do exactly what she tell him to do. He not being a man in that position," he said during his interview with Beats 1 Radio in 2019.

"You not tellin' her, 'Bro, chill out with that on the internet. Don't even talk to him. I'm your husband! You better not even bring Future's name up!'"

Wilson responded indirectly by posting a photo of Future's son and his own daughter on Instagram with the caption, "All that matters."
