USC Trojans guard Bronny James suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during team practice on Monday, collapsing on the court, per multiple reports.
The 18-year-old was treated by USC medical and athletic staff and was rushed to the hospital. The 6-foot-3 player is no longer in ICU and is in stable condition.
Bronny is the eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer.
The James family gave a statement through The Athletic and Stadium insider Shams Charania, thanking the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work.

The family is asking for respect and privacy, and they will give an update about Bronny's condition once new information becomes available. Bronny, a consensus four-star recruit, announced his commitment to the University of Southern California last May.
The McDonald's All-American selection will don the number 6 jersey for the Trojans, the same number used by his father during his stints with Team USA, Miami Heat, and parts of his current Lakers spell.
