Media outlet Bleacher Report has proposed an interesting alternative deal for the Portland Trail Blazers if they decide to send their superstar Damian Lillard outside his preferred team Miami Heat.

Columnist Zach Buckley formulated three transactions that would give the Chicago Bulls much-needed star power, including two that involve Lillard and one with Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam.

The second suggestion makes the most sense, which would see Lillard go to the Chicago Bulls; Zach LaVine to the Houston Rockets; Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Jae'Sean Tate, Cam Whitmore, a 2024 first-round pick (lottery-protected, from POR via CHI) and a 2028 first-round pick (via CHI) to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The deal would give the Blazers a plethora of young talent and picks, which include lottery selections Green, Porter Jr., and Whitmore, while Tate was named in the All-Rookie First Team in 2021. Whitmore was recently named the MVP of the NBA 2K24 Summer League in Las Vegas, while Porter had a breakout season in 2022-23.

Meanwhile, the Bulls would get a superstar upgrade at the point guard spot, vacated due to the nagging injuries of Lonzo Ball.

The Rockets would then get a star in LaVine and boost their culture, speeding up their rebuilding following the acquisitions of veterans Fred VanVleet and Dillion Brooks.

Bulls named their asking price for LaVine

The Bulls previously named what they wanted in exchange for their main man ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Chicago wants a talented young player, multiple 1st round draft picks, and salary fillers to let go of the 28-year-old wing.
