LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers continues to defy the odds despite his age. He continues playing at a high level, leaving many befuddled despite being 38 years old.

Hence, it is no surprise that the four-time NBA champion can use this to motivate others. The LeBron James workout video spread on social media recently, part of "The King's" preparations for the coming NBA season.

"Don't mean nothing," the 38-year-old said. "Tired is only in the mind. You tell yourself you're tired, you're going to be tired. I don't get tired."

And while it appears obvious that James exaggerated it a bit, it didn't take long for ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith to take a shot at the video, saying that LeBron James was lying and that the NBA superstar has gotten tired.

"He's lying. He has gotten tired... It was a travesty that this man, in his 20th season, was in better shape than most of the league last year, including his teammate Anthony Davis," Smith said on ESPN's First Take.

When healthy, the four-time NBA MVP has proven to be a force to reckon with. He continues to dominate in most departments, particularly scoring.

James has made it a point to take good care of his body. Injuries have hounded the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year in previous seasons, a reason why he has missed games.

Regardless, James manages his body well and makes it a point to give it his best when he takes the basketball court. Heading into his 20th season, James hopes to lead the Lakers anew to the playoffs and hopefully get his 5th NBA title.
