Dennis Schroder's FIBA breakthrough continues, and the 29-year-old German is feeling the love from basketball fans worldwide.
Returning to Germany after the national team's successful 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup run, Schroder showed his love to the fans. In return, the Toronto Raptors guard heard it from the fans, most showering him with MVP chants captured by Magenta Sport and shared via their Instagram reel.
While Schroder is expected to savor their FIBA World Cup triumph and take a breather, there is an even bigger task moving forward.

As most know, the 17th overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft is set to take on a new journey with the Raptors starting this 2023-24 NBA season.
The Raptors signed Schroder in the summer, hoping his leadership can set order to a team that has not exactly been playing according to expectations. With his FIBA World Cup performance, there is reason to be optimistic that Toronto could gain from Schroder's run.
"I think as a leader, that's your responsibility, especially the captain. You've got to stay positive at all times," Schroder said after Germany's upset win over the United States in the FIBA World Cup semifinals via the Toronto Star.
Schroder has bigger challenge ahead with Raptors
The 6-foot-1 guard will be filling in big shoes, taking over from Fred VanVleet, who has moved to the Houston Rockets. Although their talent varies, Dennis Schroder can be creative and make his teammates look good.
Schroder will be in focus, with pundits hoping he can get players such as Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam to be at their best. That all starts when the Raptors open their 2023-24 NBA season against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Scotiabank Arena on October 25.
It will be the 12th straight season and the 23rd time in team history that the Toronto Raptors will open an NBA season at home, NBA.com noted.
