John Fox returns to the sidelines for the Broncos just four weeks after having open-heart surgery and will look to lead Denver to a 7-0 mark at home while interim coach Jack Del Rio returns to his job as defensive coordinator.
"Obviously, the doctors feel good about me getting back to work," Fox said via ESPN. "I actually would have preferred to be back sooner, but there was a pretty hard deadline of four weeks post-surgery and I honored that and here I am."
The Broncos are coming off of a huge win against the Chiefs in Kansas City 35-28 which gave them a one-game lead over the Chiefs in the AFC West.
Peyton Manning threw for 405 yards and five touchdowns while connecting with Eric Decker on four of them.
Manning has completed an NFL-best 327 passes on 480 attempts for a completion percentage of 68.1 while leading the league in passing yards with 4,125 and adding an NFL-best 41 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Decker, meanwhile, has 63 receptions for 971 yards with seven touchdowns this season.
"I think he showed people why he's so great," Decker told ESPN about Manning. "How we run our offense, we're very versatile as far as going inside, outside, left, right, whatever it may be."
Denver can clinch a postseason berth with a win or tie or if the Miami Dolphins or Baltimore Ravens lose or tie.
Tennessee enters play with the seventh-best pass defense in the NFL while they have also recorded 31 sacks.
Manning, who has struggled in cold weather, may have a tough time today as the weather is supposed to be in the teens.
"We'll definitely be outside and probably the worse the weather, the better for us," Titans coach Mike Munchak said per ESPN. "Hopefully there's a big snowstorm to give us a great chance to win."
The Titans are close to elimination from AFC South contention following a 22-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts but are still in the mix in the AFC wild-card hunt.
"If everyone wins out, then we're out. I guess that's how it works," Munchak said via ESPN. "All we can do, again, is the obvious. You got to win all four games and hope they lose one, a couple teams that are ahead of you. We got a couple tough ones ahead. We've made it harder without a doubt, so we have to win a game this weekend which most people don't think we have a chance to win."
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will try to avoid turnovers that victimized him four times in last week's game. Fitzpatrick is 136-for-218 (62.4%) for 1,533 yards with eight touchdowns and seven picks this season.
The Titans look to keep their wild-card hopes alive while the Broncos will try to improve to 7-0 at home when Fox returns when these teams take the field this afternoon in Denver.
