Bills: Damar Hamlin Drops Emotional Two-Word Message to Fans in NFL Return

Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin officially announced his return to the NFL after suffering from cardiac arrest in January.

With fans cheering him on, the 25-year-old said two strong words to announce his return to active NFL duty.

"Let's go!" Hamlin responded to the cheering fans as he entered the playing field. The Bills went on to defeat the Miami Dolphins, 48-20, on Sunday, October 1.

It was an emotional return for the 25-year-old player, who was the last player to come out of the tunnel. He ran the length of the field with his arms spread and stood before the cheering crowd, the Associated Press reported.

"I think it was more so about promising to myself than anything else, just showing myself that I have the courage, I got the strength that I got the pride, everything, all those words in me to be able to go through something so traumatic and to be able to come back from it. To be able to still do what I love at the highest level in the world, is amazing," Hamlin stated.

The Bills' win over the Dolphins was made possible through the efforts of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs.

Allen finished 21 of 25 passing for 320 yards and four passing touchdowns, while Diggs did whatever he could to exploit his matchup with Dolphins quarterback Kader Kohou, CBS Sports reported.

The win improved the record of the Bills to 3-1 for the season. The Dolphins tote the same win-loss record, suffering their first loss of the 2023-24 NFL season.
