Cowboys: LeBron James Throwing Support to Any NFL Team Other Than Dallas — Here's Why

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been keeping tabs with the NFL and rooted for the Dallas Cowboys for most of his life. However, it appears the 39-year-old has ended that and is now a Cleveland Browns fan.

The NBA star is not too thrilled with the Cowboys these days, particularly team owner Jerry Jones. It seems to have something to do with Jones' stance on the national anthem, NBC Sports reported.

"There was just a lot of things that was going on during when guys were kneeling, and guys were having freedom of speech," James said during an Instagram Live session via Dov Kleiman. "They wanted to do it in a very peaceful manner. A lot of people in their front office and a lot of people that ran the organization was like, 'If you do that around here, then you will never play for this franchise again.' And I just didn't think that was appropriate."

Although James may be throwing his support to the Browns, it appears he is backing anyone that the Cowboys face, the latest of which is the San Francisco 49ers.

"I know we got a lot of Cowboys fans in America... I'm not one of them," LeBron exclaimed. "Shout out to the Niners, good luck to y'all today."

Jones tried to explain his side to James back in 2022 so that the four-time NBA champion knew where he was coming from, CBS Sports reported. Based on James' latest comments, his decision to no longer be a Cowboys fan remains.
