Officials from the Brazil national football team have suggested that Arsenal are keeping them in the dark over the status of Gabriel Jesus as new international games approach.

Jesus has been a key player for both sides, but an injury scare prevents him from contributing 100 percent for the Gunners.

He missed his club's Premier League win over Burnley and the two before that. He was sensational for Arsenal on October 25 against Sevilla in the Champions League after scoring and assisting in the two goals in the victory.

He was substituted in the 81st minute due to a hamstring injury.

Brazil plans to call him up for the return of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers as they try to recover from a 0-2 loss to Uruguay.

However, Jesus not playing is a possibility as he continues to miss matches, per advice from the Arsenal medical team.

Brazil coach cries about lack of transparency from Arsenal

Jesus has missed three games already for Arsenal, but Brazil's national football team coach, Fernando Diniz, still called his name up for the crucial games against Colombia and Argentina. The team currently holds the third spot in the table after four matches.

They had already lost another Gunner, Gabriel Martinelli, to injury, and the Selecao coach suggested he did not arrive to the team in a 'very complete way' from Arsenal's assignment. They want to get an opportunity to check up on Jesus.

"Because of this too, we're going to bring Gabriel in to find out his real condition, because we still have 15 days to go until the games, so we believe he could be fit enough to play, because I like him a lot. We have 24 players on the list, and if anything happens to him we won't need to change the squad."

Latest on Gabriel Jesus from Mikel Arteta

There were reports that the 26-year-old forward might take until December to become 100 percent.

The latest from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could indicate that Jesus is not in the best shape to join the Brazil squad.

"I don't know [how the situation is], I'm going to talk to the doctors and him [Gabriel Jesus], because he didn't do any training with us," he told ESPN Brasil.

"He's far from working with the team, but it's an internal communication between the club and the national team. The first intention is always to seek the best for the player."

Gabriel's injury since the start of the new season

Gabriel started the new season on the bench for two straight games as he was nursing a knee injury. He has already missed five games in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.

A recent scan revealed he has muscle problems on his leg, and Arteta still cannot pinpoint his exact return.

The Spanish manager expressed worry the first time Jesus went down on October 25.

"[I'm] really sad because he felt something and I'm worried about that."
