Chelsea has been sputtering a bit, but Jose Mourinho insists his squad will continue its attacking approach.
''We have to kill opponents," Mourinho told ESPN. "We have to score goals. We are also conceding goals defensively. In this moment if you train defensive corners against the dummies, I think one dummy will score, because all the rebounds they go to the opponents.''
Chelsea will hope to bounce-back from a tough Premier League loss to Stoke on Saturday night and must win to ensure the top spot in Group E of the Champions League after two losses to Basle.
Mourinho insisted they won't change their style.
"Am I going to change the style and play more defensive players? No. Am I going to play David Luiz in front of the central defenders? No," he said via ESPN. ''Am I going to play with four plus two and the wingers closing behind and leaving Fernando in attack waiting for a counter attack, waiting for a long ball to try to win 1-0? No. We go in the same direction.''
Chelsea has qualified for the last 16 but if Basle wins at Schalke they can overtake them.
Steaua meanwhile, has already been eliminated, but will look to finish strong.
"It is a pity that we are in this situation now,'' coach Laurentiu Reghecampf said via ESPN. ''Initially I was hoping that this would become an important game where we would have a chance to qualify for the next round, or even to get into the Europa League.Now of course for us the domestic league is the main priority at this stage, but this doesn't mean we are not concentrated here."
Steaua has been struggling, having just three points off of three draws and is without suspended captain Alexandru Bourceanu.
Chelsea will be searching for a big win while Steaua hope to finish strong when they meet today.
