Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: Mike Pouncey Misses Miami Dolphins Practice To Testify Before Grand Jury [VIDEO]

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey missed practice on Wednesday to testify in the ongoing criminal probe of former college teammate and roommate Aaron Hernandez.

According to SBNation, Pouncey traveled to Massachusetts to testify before state authorities currently investigating the now jailed former New England Patriots tight end alleged involvement in a gun-trafficking ring.

Following the Dolphins 27-17 October road loss to Hernandez's former team at Gillette Stadium, investigators presented him with a subpoena to appear before a convened grand jury. The two formerly played at Florida together.

Hernandez is still being held without bail and relegated to solitary confinement in the killing of one-time associate Odin Lloyd. The 27-year-old former semi-pro football player was found shot to death less than a mile from Hernandez's North Attleborough mansion in late June.

Police have since speculated he may have been killed because of his knowledge of Hernandez's alleged involvement in a number of other violent crimes. The 24-year-old has been implicated in a still unsolved 2012 drive-by, double-slaying in Boston.

Investigators later recovered the vehicle believed to be used in the shooting stored.
