Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole has had a roller coaster ride after being considered as one of the best young players in the league two years ago.

The 24-year-old was initially drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 27th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft after spending two seasons of college basketball in Michigan.

After spending time in the G-League during the early parts of his career, Poole had a breakout campaign in the 2021-22 season, becoming one of the league's best young talents and a pivotal player as the Warriors captured the 2022 NBA Championship.

However, he was involved in a punching incident with teammate Draymond Green during a preseason team practice session ahead of their championship defense campaign in the 2022-23 season.

His game saw a noticeable decline in the next postseason, and the Dubs failed to defend their NBA title, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals in six games with Poole playing atrociously.

The Milwaukee native was eventually sent to the Washington Wizards in the summer of 2023 in a blockbuster trade involving Chris Paul, ending his run with the Bay Area team.

Looking back on Jordan Poole's basketball career, he is undoubtedly the shining star on the court. His basketball talent and hard work have made him in the spotlight one of the young players.

Even after experiencing setbacks, he never gave up his dream of playing basketball. As a fan, you must be moved by his spirit. Are you also experiencing difficulties and setbacks? Jordan Poole's Contract: $123 million

In the summer of 2022, Poole signed a four-year contract extension with the Golden State Warriors after being a crucial contributor to their championship run during that year.

The deal was worth $123 million, with the potential to reach $140 million through incentives.

Poole's contract, covering the 2023-24 season through the 2026-27 season, remained valid even after his trade to the Washington Wizards in the 2023 offseason.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard was previously under a rookie scale deal, valued at $10.1 million over his first four seasons in the league. This contract was signed when he was drafted by the Dubs.

Jordan Poole's Career Earnings

At the end of the 2023-24 NBA season, it is estimated that Poole will have amassed a career earnings total of $37,546,236 solely from his NBA salary over his five seasons in the league, according to figures from Spotrac.

This calculation does not include additional income from endorsements, as well s deductions such as taxes, agent fees, and other business expenses.

Looking ahead, with his current contract slated to conclude in 2027, Poole is forecasted to reach an impressive career earnings figure of $133,090,879 by that time.

Notably, he will be just 27 years old at that point, positioning him favorably for another hefty NBA contract, provided he maintains good health and performance levels that would be valuable enough for teams in the league.

Jordan Poole's Salary 2023

Poole is set to earn $27,955,357 in the ongoing 2023-24 season, the first year of his new contract, as reported by HoopsHype.
