The Arizona Cardinals are in a significant rebuilding phase, having concluded a challenging season where they ended at the bottom of the NFC West Division. Their 2023 season ended with a disappointing 4-13 win-loss record.

Despite their challenging campaign, the Cardinals have a potential opportunity for redemption. Holding the fourth overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, slated for April 25 to 27, offers them a prime chance to acquire top-tier talent.

This selection could catalyze a more promising and competitive trajectory for the team in the upcoming seasons.

Who should Arizona Cardinals take with the No. 4 Pick in the 2024 NFL Draft?

The upcoming draft showcases a wealth of top-tier quarterback prospects, including renowned talents like 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams from the USC Trojans, Drake Maye from the North Carolina Tar Heels, and 2023 Heisman Trophy recipient Jayden Daniels from the LSU Tigers.

While the trio above is anticipated to be among the draft's top three selections, the Cardinals, holding the fourth pick, remain in a favorable position.

They can secure a generational talent in wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

With 2018 Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray solidifying the Cardinals' quarterback position, whom they drafted as the first overall pick in 2019, the team's focus now shifts to bolstering their roster around him with complementary talents.

The team expressed their intention to stick with the 26-year-old signal-caller moving forward.

Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison Jr. is widely considered the best wide receiver in college football, and some argue that he might be the best overall player in the nation.

The 21-year-old has amassed 150 receptions for 2,495 yards and scored 31 touchdowns in three seasons with the Buckeyes. Notably, Harrison became one of the finalists for the 2023 Heisman Trophy, ultimately finishing in fourth place.

The talented wide receiver was named a Unanimous All-American in 2022 and 2023, and he was the recipient of the Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year and the Fred Biletnikoff Award in 2023.

During the 2023 season, in which he made 12 appearances, the junior wide receiver showcased his prowess by securing 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns.

Harrison Jr. is a perfect fit for the Cardinals, as they are actively seeking dynamic playmakers at the wide receiver position to enhance their offensive capabilities and offer valuable support to Murray.

Presently, the team's wide receiver lineup, featuring talents such as Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore, and Greg Dortch, offers promising potential but has also been hindered by injuries.

Harrison Jr. is the son of Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, who enjoyed a remarkable 13-season tenure in the NFL.

Marvin Sr. is regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in the history of the NFL, and he dedicated his entire career to the Indianapolis Colts from 1996 to 2008, being one of Peyton Manning's top targets.
