Toronto Raptors center Jontay Porter remains mum over accusations that he is involved in gambling cheating, but his brother just could not stay quiet.

Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. addressed the issues, hounding his younger brother for the first time and saying Jontay respects the game.

The news of Jontay Porter's gambling scandal first surfaced last week. He has been suspended in the meantime.

"I know what you guys know," Michael Porter Jr. told reporters on Wednesday after his team's home loss to the Phoenix Suns.

"I know Jontay loves the game of basketball. He's been really excited to play with the Raptors. So, I know just as much as you guys know at this point. I have known my brother my whole life. I know what type of dude he is. I know he's excited to play basketball and highly doubt that he would do anything to put that in jeopardy."

Porter also joined a growing number of NBA voices who expressed opposition to NBA betting, saying it is dangerous not just for bettors but also for NBA players.

The two Porters grew close together and played college basketball at Missouri Tigers.

The NBA has investigated Porter's output in games against the Los Angeles Clippers on January 26 and against the Suns on March 20.

The league is looking at the proposition bets made on Porter's name in those games, and DraftKings reported that both games made the most money for bettors involving NBA players.

Bettors put money on him on unders in terms of points, rebounds, and three-points made.

The sports bookie reported that there were $10,000 and $20,000 wagered on his over/under through increments.
