WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playfully teased Philadelphia Eagles fans and quarterback Jalen Hurts during the WWE World WrestleMania 40 fan event on Thursday, April 4, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

"The Great One" appeared at the event more than two hours late, and he proceeded to offer his humorous reason by jokingly poking fun at the local fans and the star signal-caller.

"You're booing because The Rock was a little late, that's why you're booing... Are you sure you want to know why The Rock was late? He was watching YouTube, watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again," the 51-year-old star told the fans, who were roaring louder in disapproval.

Widely regarded to be one of the most anticipated editions of the event's history, WrestleMania 40 is scheduled to take place this weekend at the Lincoln Financial Center, home of the Eagles, from April 6-7

The Rock is scheduled for the main event Night 1, teaming up with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, in a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

The Philadelphia Eagles had brutal playoff exit

Hurts and the Eagles experienced a harsh conclusion to the 2023 NFL season, suffering a 32-9 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card round last January.

Despite starting the season with a strong 10-1 record, the team lost five of its last six games and struggled to maintain momentum.

Ultimately, they were eliminated despite being considered Super Bowl contenders throughout the year.
