NBA legend and TNT analyst Charles Barkley has weighed in on the Lakers' struggles this season despite having some of the league's best players in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

However, Barkley did not attribute the Lakers' underwhelming season to Davis, instead pointing to several of his teammates for their fluctuating performances.

"[Anthony Davis has] had an All-NBA season. He answered all his critics this year. He's playing fantastic... [He's] not the reason the Lakers suck," the 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player initially said on the latest edition of "Inside The NBA" on Thursday, April 11.

When co-host and fellow NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal asked Barkley who was to blame for the Lakers' struggles, Barkley's reply was short and to the point.

"The rest of them," the 11-time NBA All-Star added.

The broadcast crew also discussed the possibility of a play-in tournament game between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, especially after the Dubs emerged victorious in their latest matchup last Tuesday, April 9.

Lakers fall to 10th seed after latest round of games

After Tuesday's NBA games on April 11, the Lakers landed as the 10th seed in the Western Conference by the end of the evening.

They share an identical win-loss record of 45-35 with the Warriors and Sacramento Kings, both of whom secured victories on that day.

However, the Lakers are in the lowest seeding position because they did not hold the tiebreaker against both teams.
