The car driven by Simpson's friend Al Cowling eventually drove to Simpson home in Brentwood where he surrendered after a stand-off with police.

A famous vehicle is set to hit the auction very soon, coinciding with the death of former NFL star and ex-convict O.J. Simpson.

The infamous white Ford Bronco, used by the football running back in a nationally-televised low-speed police chase in 1994, is looking to be sold by its three current owners-Simpson's former agent, Michael Gilbert, and two friends of the original owner, Al Cowlings.

The owners stated they are seeking at least $1.5 million through either a public or private sale, and according to journalist Darren Rovell of CLLCT, the most recent offer they received for the 1993 SUV was $750,000.

"Before O.J. passed, we had always thought this was going to be the year we were going to sell because it's the 30th anniversary. Who knows if we are all going to be around for the 35th or the 40th?," Gilbert said.

O.J. Simpson's Ford Bronco chase disrupted NBA Finals coverage

Nearly all major TV networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and local news outlets, covered the police chase, interrupting scheduled programming to do so.

It was watched by an estimated 95 million viewers nationwide, including NBA fans who were watching Game 5 of the 1994 NBA Finals between the Houston Rockets and the New York Knicks.

While NBC continued its NBA Finals coverage, they simultaneously reported on the chase, displaying both events on a split screen.
