You don't mess with the Serbians, they say.

Nikola Jokic's brothers showed that after Game 2 of the Denver Nuggets series with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Denver Nuggets pulled the largest comeback on a game-winner in team history on Monday after Jamal Murray hit a buzzer-beater against the Los Angeles Lakers.

They are now up 2-0 at home and retained their homecourt advantage with that victory.

While Murray's sensational game-winner took over the NBA internet, a disturbing video of Jokic's brother's altercation with a fan followed.

The brothers, Strahinja and Nemanja, have built a reputation as protective brothers since their younger sibling joined the league.

However, nothing came close to an actual altercation until the Lakers game.

Strahinja was furiously charging to a lower row in the footage released on X.

After him was the younger Nemanja, and Jokic's wife, Natalija, was at their back, holding her child while trying to pull back Strahinja.

Strahinja finally got off to the lower row, within punching distance of a man in a blue shirt. His right hand connected with the face of the said man, who did not seem to mind the hit and continued barking at the brothers.

According to witnesses, the incident occurred shortly after the game's conclusion.

It is not known what triggered the incident.

NBA and Denver police investigate Nikola Jokic's brothers

The NBA was notified of the incident and confirmed to The Athletic that the league is already looking into the matter.

The Denver Nuggets organization was also made aware of this but has yet to comment on the issue.

The Denver Police are also making moves to solve the altercation.

However, one hurdle is the fact that no victim is coming forward.

"At this time, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident," an email sent by the Denver Police media relations to the Associated Press stated.

"The Department is looking into this incident, is actively working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department."

It is not known, too, whether Nikola Jokic himself is aware of what his brothers did.

Nikola Jokic brothers' reputation

The two-time MVP's courtside brothers are known for being very protective, especially when things get rougher than expected.

The best example of this was when they almost stepped on to the court when Nikola had an altercation with Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker during one play in their 2021 playoff game.

Another was their rivalry with the Morris brothers in 2021. It started when Markieff, then part of the Miami Heat, fouled Jokic, who retaliated by shoving Markieff from the back. The shove kept Markieff out for a significant amount of time.

Markieff's brother Marcus, who was playing for the Los Angeles Clippers then, tweeted that Jokic would "get his."

This prompted Nikola Jokic's brothers to create their own Twitter account and warn the Morris brothers.

"You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother! Your brother made a dirty play first. If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you !! Jokic Brothers," they wrote in their joint account.
