Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Calgary Flames (13-15-5, 31 points) and Boston Bruins (22-9-2, 46 points) faceoff live from the TD Garden in Boston for their second and final meeting this season. Calgary is in the midst of a five-game eight-day road trip and is 1-0-1 thus far through the first two games while Boston is 13-3-2 at home this season and has gone 9-0-1 in their last 10 games at TD Garden. The first time these two teams met, the Bruins defeated the Flames 2-1 in Calgary last Tuesday.
The Bruins are dealing with a bunch of injuries and almost had to add Jarome Iginla to the list Saturday after he injured his hand in a fight during the team's 6-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Iginla is expected to play.
Tuukka Rask was suffering from the flu and allowed four goals before being pulled.
"We've been through a lot this week, battling the flu. We came out of this road trip 3-1, so I can't complain," coach Claude Julien said via NHL.com. "I can't say enough honestly about how our guys battled through it all, and the score is unfortunate because it wasn't indicative of our effort and the character and the guts our guys showed."
Rask may get the start tonight and is 16-8-2 with a 1.98 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. Calgary's probable goalie is Karri Ramo, who is 6-5-2 with a 2.68 GAA and a .907 save percentage.
The Flames are coming off of a 4-3 shootout loss Sunday night to the New York Rangers.
"Thought we'd get it done in overtime, but we couldn't execute on the power play," captain Mark Giordano told NHL.com. "We're not happy with the point. It should have been two. If you get a power play in overtime, you should win."
Jiri Hudler leads Calgary with 30 points off of nine goals and 21 assists while Sean Monahan (10 goals, six assists) and Kris Russell (four goals, 12 assists) each have 16 points.
David Krejci paces the Bruins with 27 points off of six tallies and 21 helpers while Milan Lucic has lit the lamp 11 times and added 13 assists for 24 points and Reilly Smith has hit the back of the net nine times and added 14 helpers for 23 points.
The Flames will look to get back on track while the Bruins hope to keep winning at home when the puck drops tonight at the TD Garden in Boston.
