The Milwaukee Bucks have another Antetokounmpo to their injury list.
Power forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo, the older brother of two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo, who also plays for the Bucks, has suffered a torn Achilles tendon injury.
The 6-foot-7 player will reportedly undergo surgery, per league insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Thanasis has been with the Bucks since the 2019-20 season, and he re-signed with the team on a one-year deal last summer.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury during a workout this past week, and there is currently no information regarding which side of his Achilles tendon is torn.

Thanasis played in 34 games during the 2023-24 season, averaging 0.9 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 4.6 minutes per game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is also injured
Thanasis joins his younger brother Giannis, who has been sidelined since early April and missed the entire 2024 NBA playoffs due to a right calf strain.
Consequently, the Bucks were eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers in six games.
The Achilles injury is a major blow to Thanasis, who will enter free agency this summer.
It is unlikely that any other teams are interested in offering him a deal, considering that he could potentially miss the entire 2024-25 season.
