Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown nailed the biggest shot of their Game 1 victory in the Eastern Conference Finals series against the Indiana Pacers, a game-tying three-pointer with 5.7 seconds left, to send the contest to overtime.

However, the 27-year-old believes that teammate Jrue Holiday was the one who won the game for them.

"Jrue was fantastic. Jrue was exceptional. Shoutout to Jrue. Jrue came out and balled, man. He's the reason we won this game. I think he just was poised. He took advantage of his matchups. He just was so elite," the three-time NBA All-Star said in the post-game conference.

The Celtics won the game in overtime, 133-128, at the TD Garden in Boston on Tuesday, May 21.

Brown also acknowledged Holiday's defensive effort against Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, who was visibly bothered by the UCLA product.

"He's guarding Haliburton, picking him up, chasing him around. That was special from Jrue Holiday," Brown added.

Jrue Holiday steps up on the offensive end

In addition to his defensive presence, Holiday also made significant contributions on the offensive side of the ball.

The 33-year-old dropped 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field and 4-of-8 from deep, his highest scoring output since arriving in Boston via an offseason trade last year.

Holiday also added seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in 48 minutes of play for the evening.
