Montreal embarks on a season-long six game road trip starting with tonight's game while St. Louis is suffering through a host of injuries but will try to play a solid game. The first time these two teams met, the Blues beat the Canadiens 3-2 in a shootout on Nov. 5 in Montreal.

The Blues are coming off of a 4-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks and will be without David Backes, who is suffering from an upper-body injury he sustained during the team's game with the Ottawa Senators on Monday.

Backes is second on the team with 30 points off of 16 goals and 14 assists. Alex Steen, who has four points in five games, received a three-year extension Wednesday has led the Blues with 36 points off of 22 tallies and 14 helpers while T.J. Oshie has 27 points while lighting the lamp four times and adding 23 assists. Oshie scored the game-winning shootout goal against the Canadiens the last time these two teams played.

The Canadiens will look to improve on a 6-1-1 mark on the road in their last eight games away from Bell Centre.

Montreal is led by P.K. Subban (4-22-26), Tomas Plekanec (11-11-22) and Alex Galchenyuk (10-12-22) and are coming off of a 3-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes at home on Tuesday.

Carey Price is likely to start for Montreal and is 16-10-2 with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage while Jaroslav Halak should be manning the crease for the Blues and is 16-6-2 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

The Canadiens look to continue their road success while the Blues hope to get a big two points despite being ravaged by injury when the puck drops at the Scottrade Center tonight in St. Louis.
