Khloe Kardashian is responding to Lamar Odom's recent rant that maintaining the "Kardashian lifestyle" prevented him from being a better father to his two young children by claiming she's the only reason he had any contact at all with them.
According to HollywoodLife.com, a source close to Kardashian claims she organized visits between Odom and his children when he was healthy enough to see them and really worked at trying to make sure they had a real and meaningful relationship.
"At the end of the day, she's the reason he was part of their lives," the source told HollywoodLife. "He clearly wasn't in any right shape to figure out how to see those kids."
The source later added of Kardashian "she was the one who made sure the visits happened at the right time, when he was in a good state. She made sure that those kids were taken care of and saw their dad when he was healthy."
After four years of marriage,Kardashian filed for divorce earlier this month citing irreconcilable differences. Earlier this week, Odom blasted his 29-year-old reality TV wife for "monopolizing his time" and making it difficult for him to see his 15-year-old daughter, Destiny, and 11-year-old son, Lamar Jr.
"He put a lot of energy into his marriage and that Kardashian lifestyle and he lost track of his relationships with his family, especially his father Joe and his kids," a source close to Odom told Hollywoodlife.
Odom, 34, now claims he plans to concentrate on resurrecting his wayward NBA career, while Kardashian has already been linked to L.A. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.
