Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: Prosecutors Violated Gag Order, Put Fair Trial At Risk? [VIDEO]

A hearing is scheduled in Fall River Superior Court on Monday after attorneys for former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez accused prosecutors of violating a gag order imposed by the judge related to the murder charges he faces.

According to FoxNews..com, attorneys for Hernandez claim that by violating the order District Attorney Samuel Sutter and officials from his office are jeopardizing the 24-year-old's right to a fair trial.

Hernandez is charged with first-degree murder in the execution-style killing of former associate Odin Lloyd last June. Prosecutors have hinted they suspect the one-time semi-pro football player may have been killed because he had information about other violent crimes Hernandez is alleged to have been involved in.

Since being taken into custody last June, Hernandez has remained at the Bristol County Jail without bail and relegated to solitary confinement. Attorneys for him have characterized the evidence against their client as "weak" and insist they ultimately expect him to be cleared of all charges.

Two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, have also been hit with accessory charges in the probe and prosecutors have also accused Hernandez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, of repeatedly lying to investigators.

Lloyd's family last week filed a wrongful death suit against the ex-Patriot, seeking unspecified damages.
