Bill Goldberg WrestleMania 30 Return [VIDEO]: Goldberg Still Training 'Six Days A Week' For Possible Return

As the buildup towards WWE WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans on April 6 continues to accelerate into the new year, the WWE has been trying to lock-up past stars for returns at the biggest show of the year, and Bill Goldberg has been among the list of names that the WWE may try to land for the show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Goldberg hasn't appeared in a WWE ring since his infamous match against Brock Lesnar at Madison Square Garden during WrestleMania XX in 2004, where he and Lesnar were heckled by the crowd since the New York City audience knew it would be both men's final match in the company for a while, but it seems as though the WWE is trying to land the former world champion for an appearance.

Goldberg noted on Twitter that he still works out six days a week, so he'd be in great shape if he were to return to the WWE:

Last month WrestlingInc.com reported that the WWE released a DVD chronicling Goldberg's wrestling career because they still have interest in bringing him back and want him to be featured prominently at WrestleMania XXX.

It was reported also that Goldberg was in talks with WWE COO Triple H to return for the big event but that his demands for a return to the company were "very significant" and no deal was struck. Goldberg also confirmed that he met with Triple H at the C4 Comic Con event in Winnipeg and while they discussed a possible return, nothing ever was signed.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reported last month that Goldberg would like to have his son watch him wrestle one more match, so a return is conceivable but he also said that the ball is in the WWE's court as far as reaching a potential deal is concerned.

Goldberg wasn't sold by the WWE when they said "think of the pop you'll get" at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and said they were "barking up the wrong tree" with their negotiating tactics. It's rumored that Goldberg would take on Ryback at the big event because of the similarities between the two superstars and the fact that crowds jeer Ryback with "Goldberg" chants already.

Ryback discussed possibly facing off with Goldberg at WrestleMania XXX on the Felger & Mazz Radio Show last month.

"I have a great amount of respect for Bill Goldberg, but I'm not going to beat around the bush and say I wanna be best friends with the guy," he said on the radio show, according to CBS. "I'd like to face him in the ring. I've heard him say he's not happy with comments I've made about him, if he has a problem with it let's settle it at WrestleMania."

It remains to be seen if Goldberg will return, but he's reportedly in good shape and open for a return.
