Greg Schiano Penn State Rumors? Bill O'Brien Looking For NFL Job? [VIDEO]

Tampa Bay Bucs coach Greg Schiano may be on a short list of potential candidates to replace Penn State coach Bill O'Brien should he leave for the NFL, according to NJ.com.

The website adds that Schiano, formerly coach at Rutgers and once an assistant at Penn State, is among "three other head coaches who have had their intermediaries inquire about the job."

Schiano, 47, has spent much of this NFL season on the hotseat in Tampa, where the Bucs struggled to an 0-8 start and an overall 4-11 mark. Schiano has also openly feuded with several of his players, including star cornerback Darrelle Revis. Earlier in the season Revis told reporters "I don't know" if the team's players still belief in Schiano and his coaching staff.

NJ. com reports representatives for Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak and Vanderbilt coach James Franklin are the others to have expressed interest in the potential opening.

Schiano's name was also linked to Penn State in 2011, when the school severed its ties with longtime coach Joe Paterno in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal.

The Bucs end their season Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
